Hi, I am Christel Lemmen
Throughout my life, I’ve always sought answers and solutions for people's health struggles.
Their health journeys made me wonder, what is involved in dis-ease?
I can't really stop questioning, studying and learning, because I care!
From the age of 4 years old, I knew I wanted to become a PE teacher and a Physio and understand how the body works.
So, this beach-lover just did that and continued with a master in Health Science ( exercise physiology ).
In the Netherlands, I lectured for more then 10 years at University in Applied Health Sciences and now, bring more then 25 years of body-mind treatment experience to the (treatment)table.
Yoga was something that l've always liked, but when I became critically ill, stripped from health (and happiness), yoga helped to deepen my insight in the body, mind and simply in life!
Once a yoga student, always a student, and I 'm an advanced yoga teacher (therapeutic/ashtanga/power/vinyasa/flow/yin and restorative) and a certified teacher-trainer.
I now intuitively understand the body's anatomy, physiology, alchemy as part of a clients journey in healing injuries and finding their full potential. Clients from as young as 3 to the age of 95 have visited me to create a healthier (work/life/social) balance, enjoying playing sports without pain or injuries and learning to cope with stress in body and mind.
I love orthopaedic back-, shoulder-, knee- and hand/feet-problems, maybe not solved with "single" therapy.
As a former PE teacher and top gymnastic, I relate to top sport-specific complaints, including health problems of Personal Trainers, Sport Coaches (e.g.tennis/golf) or Yoga Teachers.
This is where the magic starts: MIND YOUR BODY!
I love finding out with you what's behind an injury, dis-ease or ilness: complicated life balance issues, involving the body/mind connection.
I like to be up side down and laugh. You can hear an accent, that's because I'm Dutch.
I'm looking forward to work with you.....give me a free introduction call
Oh and a little bit more about my passions:
